Garden Level

My office was recently relocated to another building on PLU campus. The new office is quite different from what I was used to. It is a big open space that I share with my colleagues; we name it "Garden Level". Fortunately I had total freedom to make the new space both functional and comfortable for me and my colleagues. Here is a peek at my new desk.

My favorite aspect of the new workspace is the refreshing natural light from big windows that helps me stay alert, attentive, and focused. I like to keep the space free of cluster by minimizing all unnecessaries items. I also choose most of accessories in white to create a clean and unified look.

The space will continue to evolve as I refine the details and explore new inspirations around myself. I am excited for what will come and how I can make this space well fit my personal workflow.

Video: Get Ready for the Holidays

It is that time of the year, when we are super excited to for the holiday season. We both love Christmas and everything about it: gifts, decorations, music, candles, hot cocoa, and cinnamon buns. Here is a video about our weekend project to transform our house for the holidays.

This video was filmed with the iPhone 6 and put together in the Final Cut Pro X.

Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall

Tacoma Ruston Way Waterfront

It is that time again, when the summer heat was yesterday and rain becomes a part of everyday routine. Fall is coming to the Northwest. I already counted last weekend as the last day of summer. While the sun was still up and coat was not mandatory, I wanted to spend outside as much as I could. So, I dragged Kimmy to the Ruston Way for a walk and to check out Tacoma Moon Festival taken place at the Chinese Reconciliation Park.

We got some mooncakes from a vendor at the festival. The filling is lotus seed paste with salty egg yolk. The sweetness is just right, and the cake is delicious when pairing with a hot cup of lotus tea.
