Starbucks Reserve

During the holiday break of 2014, Kimmy and I took a trip to Seattle to visit the newly opened Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room located on the corner of Pike & Melrose in Seattle's Capitol Hill neighborhood. Here are a few photos of the place from our visit.

It was interesting to watch how coffee is freshly roasted and packed right at the facility. There are a pair of small Probats roasting 25 or 50kg batches.

There are merchanises designed exclusively for the roastery. Drinks are served in ceramic cups instead of plastic or paper cups like at other regular Starbucks stores.

I often enjoy trips to Starbucks, not just for its drinks but also the space: great for meetings, hanging out with friends, and getting works done. Starbucks stores are often very well designed and furnished by its eight design studios around the United States and 18 around the world. The new roastery also carries the same design trademarks of Starbucks with some unique elements exclusively to this new store model. The Main Bar where most customers will place orders and see how their drinks are made.

Kimmy ordered a cappuccino with Colombia Montebonito while I experienced a Clover Brewed with Pantheon Blend. Click here for full drinks menu.
