HighEdWeb Annual Conference

In the month of October, I had an opportunity to attend to the HighEdWeb Conference in Portland, Oregon. The conference lasted for 4 days between October 19th to 22nd. It provided interactive learning experiences in small group settings, featuring workshop-style presentations from leaders in the field. It was  a fun and interesting experience. Here are moments that I collected while attending this event.

I attended the conefernce with folks from Pacific Lutheran University.

The conference took place at the Hilton Executive Tower in downtown of Portland.

I found the Behind the Museum Cafe on Yelp, which impressed me with airy space and various Japanese dinks and snacks.

When checking reviews for this cafe, there are numberous recommendations to try out its Macha Latte. And yes, people are right: it is delicous.

A few blocks away from the conference is a Vietnamese restaurant called Luc Lac Vietnamese Kitchen. The decor is pretty neat with countless umbrellas hanging upside down in the celling serving as the main focal point. The food was good at a reasonable price.

A trip to Portland is not complete without visiting the Portland Food Trucks.

I did not forget to bring back someVoodoo Doughnut for my colleagues.
