I found a new love...Canon 50mm L f/1.2

Yes, I do... I have been having very strong feeling for her, I was searching for her, I was thinking of her days and nights, I couldn't wait to see her... and finally we met each other for the first time when I came home from work... The packet arrived. After digging through layers of stuffing, I saw her sitting neatly in the soft grey pouch... yes, she is the Canon 50mm 1.2 L lens.

I rent this lens out for a weekend wedding and engagement photo shoot... This was my first time playing with it, and I wanted to clear out all the myths around this lens, but it turned out that I fall in love with it right at the first shoot.

I love the buttery background from the 1.2 aperture; it turns everything from ordinary to extraordinary. You can hardly take bad pictures with this lens - of course, you do need to know how to work with it. I definitely love this lens since it really fits with and enhances my photography style and focus. One down size is that it is quite slow to focus compare to other Canon L lens. I hope that while I am saving for it, Canon will update with a new version for better focusing system. In the mean time, I stay with my love for this lens.

Here are some pictures from the first test shoot.
